Alright, I finally have enough time to sit down and write a new post. I managed to get a chapter draft finished and am work on another one, which is why it has been so long since I last wrote. I have also been doing a few fun things as well. I went to the Edmonton Folk Festival with one of my rugby teammates and had a great time. I was really disappointed with Feist, about whom I had heard good things, but other than that it was great. I discovered a couple of new (to me) singers and groups. An Edmonton singer named Rachelle Van Zanten was amazing, as was a British group called Show of Hands. Chumbawamba was the biggest surprise for me, they did some political songs, including a few English rebel songs. My favourite group The Waifs was just awesome as usual and David Gray was great, although he seemed a little out of place at a Folk Festival. The weather was horrible for most of it, but it was fun nonetheless.
I also made it out to a Fringe Festival play, "Cloning Mary Shelley," which I am still not sure what to make of. It was a one-woman show about Frankenstein, cloning, origin myths, and motherhood. It had a little too much going on. A friend of mine is in a production of The Rez Sisters, so I will probably try to take that in soon.
The new school term starts soon, so I am trying to get as much of the thesis written before I start teaching again. I hope I have a good year teaching and writing!
That is all for now, I will try to be better about updating this thing!

Hey Karine,
Love the new template. The old one was rather... pink.
